What is Champion Crescent?

Champion Crescent is a dedicated unit where we provide a specialised care and rehabilitation service for people with ARBI 's (alcohol related brain injuries) such as Korsakoffs and Wernickes.

People with these conditions need a specialist level of care and rehabilitation so that they can be enabled to return home, or receive a lower level of support.

Prior to Champion Crescent, the only option available for people with Korsakoffs Syndrome and Wernickes Encephalopathy was to be placed into a care home with elderly people with alzheimers or dementia.

Although this keeps the person safe and cared for in a physical sense it condems each person to a life of living within a care home for forty plus years,

Unfortunately this still occurs for the majority of people suffering from an alcohol related brain injury.

Korsakoffs Syndrome & Wernickes Encephalopathy are not the same as dementia, and as such they require a different type of care.

There is hope and Champion Crescent offers this hope.

Champion Crescent is provided at 3 facilities throughout England:-
